Under the inspiring leadership of our General Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
The rate of pay for these casual positions is £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age. We offer a range of benefits including free staff meals, employee discounts, cash and credit card tips, and opportunities for career progression and development.
About The Role
- To be responsible for serving food & beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests and maximum profit contribution to the Hotel.
- To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
- To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met.
- Typical tasks include clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages and taking payments.
- To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
- Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
- To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
