Role Overview
As our Transformation Manager working across Home Claims, you’ll be a strategic change leader, driving end‑to‑end transformation that delivers real impact faster, smarter and sustainably. Combining commercial acumen, digital and technical fluency, journey design and agile delivery, you’ll lead cross‑functional teams, turning strategy into action and embedding lasting change across Hastings Direct.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional delivery teams to deliver complex transformation initiatives end‑to‑end from concept, technical delivery and operational adoption.
- Lead journey design (systems, tools, processes) in service of business strategic objectives and safeguarding customer and regulatory outcomes.
- Drive delivery discipline through effective planning, governance, issue resolution and progress tracking, keeping outcomes, timelines and quality on track.
- Champion a test‑and‑learn culture, taking proportionate risks and refining solutions based on insight, performance and customer feedback.
- Leverage digital and technology tools and platforms (e.g., workflow automation, data analytics, core systems, digital journeys) to enable scalable and efficient transformation.
- Define and shape business requirements and success measures in partnership with operational, commercial and supplier teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience delivering operational transformation, process improvements or change initiatives within insurance or similarly regulated environments; home claims experience highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to scope and deliver large technology‑enabled/digital and commercial programmes end‑to‑end, influencing senior stakeholders.
- Background in portfolio shaping including prioritisation, sequencing and linking strategic big bets to actionable delivery plans.
- Demonstrable experience building and presenting business cases independently with clear benefits and ROI modelling.
- Experience leading and delivering multiple types of transformation plans aligned to strategic priorities.
