Role overview
In this role, you\’ll be working across suppliers in your specific category to deliver projects and manage key suppliers, contract risk and adherence and help to drive innovation and improved value from suppliers.
You\’ll be helping to develop and deliver ambitious plans in partnership with our Supplier Relationship Managers, taking a proactive approach to identifying and prioritising opportunities, driving business engagement and researching latest developments, key players, innovations and opportunities with your category of supply.
Job details – you\’ll need to have demonstrable experience in:
- Working with our Supplier Relationship Manager team to operate strategic alignment between the business and our supplier base, aligning strategic objectives and contributing to the strategic roadmap
- Ensuring appropriate supplier meetings are conducted in line with our supplier framework, defining the agenda, chairing the meeting, minute taking and capturing follow up actions for key meetings
- Supporting operational and commercial teams with activities that allow for a better outcome for Hastings and our suppliers
- Ensuring supplier risks are highlighted and logged and have actions in place to address them and prevent issues moving forward and ensuring internal governance processes are carried out consistently for all suppliers
- Ensuring processes are in place to monitor regulatory adherence and adherence to internal quality standards and expectations of our customers and other suppliers
- Supporting the wider Supplier Relationship Manager team with any activities, initiatives and projects as required
Essential skills/experience
- Good knowledge of motor claims handling processes and supplier contractual obligations
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to promote a strong culture for the SRM team and be a \’known person\’ – the GO TO person for supplier support
- An understanding of complaints procedures and governance/assurance controls
