Role overview: The Telematics Intervention Manager will lead a small team of analysts to support improved customer outcomes, risk mitigation, and portfolio performance through telematics-based interventions. This role focuses on identifying behavioural insights, optimising intervention strategies, and contributing to sustainable growth within the motor telematics portfolio. We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds who can bring analytical thinking, curiosity, and a customer-focused mindset.
Job details:
- Prioritising team resource and intervention workstreams to support portfolio performance, loss ratio targets, and growth objectives.
- Analysing telematics, policy, claims, and customer data to identify opportunities for targeted behavioural interventions and risk improvement.
- Developing and delivering insights using telematics data, new analytical approaches, and evolving ways of working.
- Taking end-to-end ownership of interventions, from idea generation and analysis through to implementation and review.
- Designing, implementing, and refining intervention strategies (e.g. customer communications, nudges, and policy actions) to improve driving behaviour and reduce claims frequency/severity.
- Identifying customer segments where targeted interventions can have the greatest positive impact.
- Ensuring all interventions are fair, transparent, and deliver good customer outcomes in line with regulatory expectations and our customer commitments.
Essential skills/experience:
- Experience or understanding of general insurance, ideally with exposure to motor or telematics products.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git/GitHub) is helpful, but not essential.
- Experience working with data (for example behavioural or time-series data), or a strong interest in developing these skills.
- A commercial mindset with an awareness of balancing customer outcomes, risk, and business performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- SQL and Python are preferred, but experience in other languages is welcome; support will be available to learn.
