Role Overview
As Operations Analytics Manager, you will lead analytics that drive performance, efficiency, and customer outcomes across Retail Operations.
You will translate complex operational data into actionable insight that informs decision-making at both tactical and strategic levels and will have line‑management responsibility.
Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in
- Leading the delivery of high‑quality operational analytics, insights, dashboards and performance reporting while understanding the importance of storytelling to a variety of stakeholders.
- Developing a deep understanding of customer journeys, processes and demand drivers to translate data into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinating the data element of benefit tracking that assesses the success of initiatives and returns on investments, acting as a bridge between Retail Operations, Commercial and Digital.
- Supporting our three‑year plan process, working with partners across Operations, Commercial and Finance to examine ongoing and future opportunities, and supporting continuous improvement and process redesign.
- Acting as a trusted analytics partner to operational leaders, presenting evidence‑based insights to influence decisions.
- Managing at least one analyst, setting high quality standards and best practices for junior analysts.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience with large, complex data sets and data visualisation tools (Power BI) at a senior leadership level, combining analytical skill with problem‑solving.
- Proven people‑leadership experience, with demonstrable knowledge of coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
- Clear and confident communication, able to translate complex data into clear and straightforward recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong customer focus, curiosity, and a commercial mindset.
- Knowledge of working in insurance or other regulated environments or large customer operations is beneficial.
