Welcome to Hastings Direct. We are a digital insurance provider with a clear strategy to become the best and biggest player in the UK market. As a Finance team, we are building a market leading finance technology platform and investing in our people to add value to the business.

As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will be central to ensuring our Finance department's systems are functional, efficient, and evolving. You will provide technical and administrative support, investigate system issues, and document processes to maintain optimal performance and appropriate controls. You will partner closely with finance end-users, IT teams, and external suppliers, manage system access, resolve queries, and support infrastructure needs. You will also be supporting our Finance transformation project, working with the latest Microsoft and Snowflake technologies, and aiding in implementing a new ERP system and Finance Data Mart as we build a world-class department.

Job details – you will need to have demonstrable experience in:

  • Undertaking core BAU duties that support operation of a finance department, including administering access to our systems, month-end activities, and maintaining appropriate controls across our estate.
  • Working closely across Finance teams, IT, and 3rd party suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of end-user issues and queries.
  • Assisting the finance team with UAT and sharing best practice.
  • Assisting with initial configuration of new systems and acting as key contributor for the development of additional capabilities within the systems.

Qualifications Essential skills/experience:

  • Knowledge of database technologies e.g. SQL/Snowflake.
  • High level of accuracy with the ability to reconcile large volumes of data.
  • Able to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills - ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication, listening and influencing skills (both internal and external).
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and the ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail and concentration.
