Role Overview
As one of our Commercial Managers in Home Claims, you’ll be delivering the execution of our commercial and trading strategy. You’ll work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver bold and ambitious targets, supporting our transformation into a market‑leading Home Claims function. This role will focus on all aspects of the Home Claims strategy.
Job Details – Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of our Home Claims strategy to maximise commercial outcomes.
- Drive data‑led performance improvement opportunities, working across the Hastings Direct matrix (e.g. Commercial, SRM, In‑House Surveyors, Operations, Audit etc.) and external suppliers to prioritise, secure resource and deliver outcomes as appropriate.
- Manage contractual relationships with external suppliers to achieve great commercial and customer outcomes.
- Manage risk and business continuity with business area, developing appropriate strategies to mitigate threats.
- Own the commercial performance of a key component of Home Claims.
- Identify trading performance improvement opportunities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience of delivering commercial initiatives across a busy Home Claims function.
- Strong commercial aptitude combined with analytical capability – able to translate complex data and concepts into a logical and structured fashion, and articulate these concepts clearly and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in presenting and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
