The Role
Working in the Credit Risk & Pricing team within the lending business, this hands-on role uses multiple data sources and analytical tools to develop and optimise pricing and trading strategies for long-term profitability.
Accountabilities
- Develop and optimise pricing strategies to deliver financial trading plans
- Drive efficiencies and automation in pricing strategy execution
- Collaborate with modelling to identify new pricing factors that drive competitive advantage
- Meet customers’ reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes
- Maintain MI which facilitates effective performance monitoring and optimisation
- Provide analysis and insights for Management Committee and Board
- Maintain regulatory compliance and reputational integrity
- Act as a Commercial SME within the business and broader Hastings Group
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Price comparison website experience essential; retail lending product knowledge desired
- Able to handle vast and multiple data sources at speed
- Real-rate risk-based pricing experience essential, using non-standard segmentation desired
- Strong SQL coding skills; other programming experience such as R or Python desirable
- Commercially aware, able to optimise for short and long-term outcomes
- Strong communication skills that transcend levels within the business
