Job Details

  • Plan, lead, and execute internal assurance reviews and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Support the Head of Internal Assurance to develop and maintain a risk-based compliance monitoring program aligned with FCA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for identified compliance gaps.
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and assess impact of new regulations on business processes.
  • Represent Internal Assurance in internal and external forums, building strong stakeholder relationships.

Skills We Would Love You To Have

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including formal report writing for Exec level.
  • Influencing, persuasion, and negotiation capabilities, up to the most senior of stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of FCA regulations, GDPR, and Data Protection Act.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply business pragmatism.
  • Experience in risk and control assessment within a regulated insurance environment.
  • Experience with compliance monitoring frameworks and/or internal audit methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Relevant compliance or audit qualification (e.g., ICA Advance Certificate in Compliance) or equivalent experience, or working towards the same.
