Job Details
You will build moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. You will:
- Plan, design and conduct tests of programs, correct errors, and re-test to achieve error-free results.
- Document all work in accordance with agreed standards.
- Take part in reviews of your own work and the work of colleagues.
- Ensure that you (and any direct reports) are meeting customers' fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes.
- Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations.
Skills we would love you to have
- Experience using Guidewire Insurance Suite; Microsoft SQL Server; Temenos EdgeConnect; Thunderhead; Dynatrace APM; Web Security; IBM WebSphere.
- Experience of customer-facing web e-commerce sites; distributed n-tiered architectures.
- Good communication and collaboration skills; attention to detail; teamwork; planning and organisation; agile development techniques; numerical.
- IT professional qualifications are desirable but not essential.
