As a Graduate Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in how we give our customers a fairer price; identifying opportunities to improve how we assess risk, using data, analytics, and statistical modelling to strike the right balance between customer value and business performance.
From day one you will be welcomed onboard to our Pricing academy, a structured learning and development program designed to equip graduate analysts with the technical, commercial and strategic skills required to succeed in the world of insurance pricing.
You will join the academy alongside peers from across our business, receiving expert-led training, hands on project experience and continuous support from mentors and senior leaders.
You’ll build core capabilities in data analysis, pricing tools, market modelling and regulatory insight – all while contributing to real world problem solving that impact our customers.
Whether you’re new to insurance or already analytically minded, our Pricing Academy will give you the foundation, confidence and connections to launch a successful careers at Hastings.
What you’ll do:
Everything we do starts and ends with data, whether that be drawing insights, exploring new ways of how we use it or finding value to change it
Through our Pricing academy we will train and support you, to learn and develop market leading coding skills such as Python, SQL and Excel
You’ll be exploring a vast data landscape, looking for new and innovative ideas to drive change
You’ll be collaborating with other areas of our Pricing Data & Analytics teams to bring new data sources to life, working with actuarial, underwriting and commercial teams to deliver insights
End-to-end ownership of your work, sharing your ideas at senior leadership level and making real change
What we’re looking for:
Recent or upcoming graduates in a numerical or analytical subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Science, Engineering or similar)
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem solving ability
Curious, commercially aware and eager to learn
Knowledge or experienceusing an analytical programming environment, such as Python, SQL and Excel
