About the role
The Data Quality Manager is responsible for driving best practices in Data Management, Governance & Quality to support Hastings’ ambition to become a Data Driven Organisation. The Data Quality Manager will be leading a small team to ensure high quality reconciled data is provided to the business/fed into downstream applications.
- Own the CIO data governance framework that enables and assures the quality, security, and usability of our data.
- Own the definition, documentation, and maintenance of CIO data governance artefacts (e.g., Policies, Processes, Guardrails etc).
- Collaborate with members of the Risk & Audit, Data Protection/Legal Teams, to ensure compliance alignment for our data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data quality issues and prioritise checks required.
- Lead on establishing monitoring systems to identify, expose and measure key data performance metrics.
- Own the Data Quality framework and its implementation within the CIO Data Team.
Skills we would love you to have:
- Excellent understanding of Data Management, Governance and Quality strategies, frameworks, and best practice, with experience in their design as well as implementation.
- Extensive experience in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong appreciation of process design and implementation.
- Experience of the implementation and utilisation of Data Management, Governance and Quality tooling to drive business value.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to implement strategies through pragmatic and realistic roadmaps and action plans.
