Location - Leicester or Bexhill- Hybrid (though we're open to flexibility in regards to how often you'd be required to be in the office)

Role overview: As one of our Commercial Managers in Home Claims, you’ll be delivering the execution of our commercial and trading strategy. You’ll work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver bold and ambitious targets, supporting our transformation into a market leading Home Claims function. This role will focus on all aspects of the Home Claims strategy.

Job details - you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in:

  • Supporting the delivery of our Home Claims strategy to maximise commercial outcomes
  • Driving data led performance improvement opportunities, working across the Hastings Direct matrix (e.g. Commercial, SRM, In-House Surveyors, Operations, Audit etc.) and external suppliers to prioritise, secure resource and deliver outcomes as appropriate
  • Managing contractual relationships with external suppliers to achieve great commercial and customer outcomes
  • Managing risk and business continuity with business area, developing appropriate strategies to mitigate threats
  • Owning the commercial performance of a key component of Home Claims
  • Identifying trading performance improvement opportunities

Essential skills we would love you to have:

  • Great knowledge of home claims/commercial knowledge within a home claims settling is highly desirable
  • Strong and demonstrable commercial aptitude combined with analytical capability - able to translate complex data and concepts into a logical and structured fashion, and articulate these concepts clearly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience in presenting and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally

The interview process involves the below:

  • Initial introductory screening call
  • 1st stage interview with hiring leader involving a case study (1hr 30 minutes - Microsoft Teams)
  • 2nd stage interview with the director of the department (30 minutes - Microsoft Teams)
