Location: Leicester (Hybrid) One day a week in the office
Working Hours: Please be aware that this position will be on a rotational shift pattern - example below.
Week 1: Mon-Fri: 09:00 - 17:30 - No weekends.
Week 2: Mon-Fri: 12:00 - 20:30 - No weekends.
Week 3: Mon-Fri: 09:00 - 17:30 - No weekends.
Week 4: Mon-Tues: 09:00 - 17:30, Wed-Thu: Rest Day, Fri: 09:00 - 17:30, Sat : 09:00 - 17:30, Sun: 10.00 - 17.00

Role overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Claims Specialist to join our Interventions team during a record breaking year, focusing on limiting our indemnity spend by working with their teams to further the success of attracting and managing Third Party customers with their insurance claim.
As an Claims Specialist within our Intervention Team you will support us in delivering excellent claim journeys to our Non-Fault Third Parties claiming through Hastings Direct. You will focus on supporting the team on becoming technically competent in their role and making intelligent commercial decisions.
Job details - you\'ll need to have demonstrable experience in:
- Work collaboratively with the operational leadership team to review and monitor outcomes/KPIs using data to support improvement through technical development and insurance knowledge (creation of material and delivery).
- Identify technical knowledge needs/themes for individual colleagues when creating and delivering technical development.
- Be the referral and escalation point for colleagues (or suppliers where relevant) with technical queries.
- Support the technical lead to cultivate the right capability for their functions, including the delivery of new colleague training from the academy to developing individuals through the competency framework. Work collaboratively with team leaders to build technical capability across the teams and support CCL to develop a technical strategy for their functions.
- Utilise data gathered through audits, team leader coaching, and control reports to identify systemic/thematic development requirements and create/ implement solutions.
- Ensure a strong understanding of market developments which may impact our intervention performance. Provide technical input to support the development of appropriate strategies to mitigate risks.
Essential skills we would love you to have:
- Technical knowledge of Insurance Claims, particularly Third Party Claims and/or Intervention
- A background or understanding of a sales environment, with a focus on attracting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set a vision for gaining and maintaining competitive advantage within a fast-paced environment; embraces learning and self-development with a high level of self-awareness and drive.
- Outcome-focused with a results-oriented and fast-paced approach, driving decision-making to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Posses the ability to influence those around you to make improvements in their performance by using tried and tested coaching methods. Ability to foster a \'can do\' environment.
