About the role

We’re a digital insurance provider with ambitious plans to become the best and biggest in the UK market. Our CIO team drives innovation, ensuring our technology infrastructure supports our goals. This role focuses on delivering and improving our deployment processes for software releases.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy multiple code packages into development, test, and live environments.
  • Plan and manage deployments into the live environment, including rollback procedures.
  • Design, implement, and maintain deployment tools and processes to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify improvements to deployment processes and automate tasks where appropriate.
  • Set up new environments consisting of multiple components.
  • Provide support to testing teams by investigating environment‑specific issues.

Qualifications

  • Shell scripting / programming.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and techniques.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and adapt to changing plans.
  • Quick learner of new tools, technologies, and techniques.
  • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and timescales.
  • Technical skills in automation and application design.
  • Experience with software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of object‑oriented design principles.
  • Experience with peer code reviews and unit testing.
  • Systems analysis experience.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
