We are looking for a motivated and community‑focused Adult Health and Social Care Community Builder to join the Active Hastings team as part of the Sport England Place Expansion Programme Development Award, led by Active Sussex. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future of physical activity provision in Hastings by gathering insight that will inform a future full award application to Sport England.
You will focus particularly on engaging inactive adults, including those living with long‑term health conditions, adults from ethnically diverse communities, and those living in areas with the highest health inequalities. By building trusted relationships and understanding lived experiences, you will help generate the insight and evidence needed to ensure that future investment is shaped by the needs, motivations, and barriers of the people it is designed to support.
Working within a wider place‑based approach, you will collaborate closely with Active Sussex and a range of local partners to explore what works, identify gaps, and contribute to the development of a strong, community-informed case for continued investment.
