Based: Mobile/field based – positions available nationwide, role involves travel

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time – Monday-Friday with occasional voluntary weekend cover

Salary: £24,310 – £29,835 depending on experience. + OTE £28,600 - £35,100 (overtime response to new emergency works)

The Company: Haste Ltd has built a reputation as the emergency response and problem solving company to the Utilities companies, backed up with exceptional Customer Care. Haste are contractors to the electricity distribution network operators (DNO’s) and on their behalf we deal with all kinds of Domestic and Commercial gas, plumbing and electrical issues.

The Job: We have a number of roles available in our rapidly growing Revenue Protection team, which is expanding to enable nationwide coverage. Our Revenue Protection Officers are dual fuel meter engineers with the added ability to inspect, assess and report on meter tampers. The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Gaining access to metering equipment on site to investigate any possible interference, where access is not possible issue correct documentation so that court warrants can be gained if necessary.
  • Gathering any interference as evidence following bagging/sealing protocols, replacing equipment or disconnecting from mains supply as advised by the client (supplier).
  • Reporting findings of on-site investigations to central team and client.
  • Ensuring customer care remains at the heart of all our activities, our Revenue Protection officers will assess each customer’s needs on a case by case basis to measure for vulnerabilities and will act accordingly, in line with Haste’s vulnerable persons procedures.
  • Carry out all works complying with the Electricity Act, H&S Act’s, MOCOPA, and Haste Safe Systems of work.

Requirements:

  • MET1
  • CMA1 or CCN1
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a dual fuel meter fitter
  • Familiarity with working to MOCOPA standards
  • Competency requirements to enable Gas Safe registration
  • IT skills able to work on site using a Hand Held Tablet
  • A clean and full UK driving licence.
  • A positive flexible attitude, able to do overtime and respond to emergencies.
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer care skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution is desirable but not essential

Training:

  • Comprehensive induction training, and authorisation with MOCOPA
  • Job role training provided.

Working hours: Mon – Fri but due to nature of work overtime may be required, paid at time and a half. Travel time is paid for.
