This role will provide you with this opportunity whilst working within a market leading environmental consultancy team, allowing you to focus on supporting clients from consent through to construction and then into operations.
About Our Environment Resilience Renewables Advisory Group: Our Environment Resilience Renewables (ERR) Group has been providing environmental solutions for our clients for over 30 years in the UK. We offer a comprehensive range of environmental services to support all sizes and types of development. Our portfolio of projects is considerable including high profile offshore wind projects such as Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm (OWF), Vanguard and Boreas OWFs and Hornsea Four OWF, through to innovative projects such as the Green Volt Floating OWF. Within our other sectors, we are providing post-consent support on the Havant Thicket reservoir, the Woodsmith Project, port developments and a number of climate resilience projects. More widely the team are involved in delivering carbon management, climate resilience, locally-driven habitat enhancement and wider biodiversity net gain projects amongst others. We combine market-leading technical excellence, across the range of environmental disciplines, with a clear understanding of clients’ ambitions, needs and pressures.
Due to continued success and growth in our key sectors, we are looking to grow our team. We are seeking Senior Consultants who specialise in consent compliance to assist our clients through the design, build and operations phase of projects, helping to ensure infrastructure projects are delivered in a sustainable manner.
Job Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Environmental Consultant specialising in post consent activities. As part of this role you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' environmental objectives by providing expert advice and guidance during the post-consent phase of their projects. The candidate, who will have experience in delivering consent compliance, will be responsible for the management and delivery of the discharge of planning conditions (or marine licence conditions) and monitoring consent compliance for a range of clients including developers and contractors. Your role will involve directly working with clients, problem solving and representing the company in client offices, regulator and stakeholder meetings. It is likely that several projects would be managed and/or supported simultaneously. There is also the opportunity to develop and grow the relationship with some of our key clients, where Account Management skills can be applied.
This role might be right for you if you have:
- Demonstratable experience in the delivery of post-consent services, including discharge of conditions, project compliance and environmental monitoring.
- Experience of the EIA and consenting process would be advantageous.
- Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of project compliance with relevant environmental permits, regulations, and consent conditions.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing environmental monitoring reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of developing environmental management plans and protocols for post-consent stages.
- Experience in managing the delivery of projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including regulators, contractors or developers.
