Combine your expertise in biological wastewater treatment with the commercial drive to turn opportunities into successful projects. As Nereda Sales Manager UK, you will build on established customer relationships to position Nereda, develop compelling proposals and secure contracts.
What you will do as Nereda Sales Manager UK
You will lead qualified UK sales opportunities from initial positioning through to contract award and handover. Working closely with business development colleagues, process engineers and delivery teams, you will understand customer requirements, shape the technical and commercial proposition, and guide customers through technology selection, tendering and negotiation. Your primary focus will be converting established relationships into well-positioned opportunities and secured projects, rather than opening doors.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for individual opportunities, identifying decision-makers, procurement routes, selection criteria and the actions required to position Nereda successfully.
- Translate customers’ biological treatment, capacity and operational requirements into a compelling Nereda value proposition, working with process engineers to demonstrate technical suitability and project benefits.
- Build on established relationships with water companies, consultants, contractors and delivery partners to shape project development and influence technology selection.
- Lead proposal development and commercial negotiations, bringing together technical, contractual and delivery expertise to submit competitive, deliverable offers and secure contracts.
- Manage a well-qualified sales pipeline with clear next steps, reliable forecasts and robust risk assessments, and ensure a coordinated handover to the delivery team.
Where you will work
At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. Our mission, "Enhancing Society Together," drives us to create a positive impact on the world.
We offer purpose-driven and challenging work in diverse international projects, leveraging our 140+ years of expertise. With over 6,800 employees in more than 25 countries, we work together to turn challenges into opportunities and make a real impact on society. We collaborate with leading clients in markets such as infrastructure, climate resilience, renewable energy, decarbonisation of industry, and sustainable mobility.
As our new Nereda Sales Manager UK, you will become part of the team within Haskoning’s Water Technology Products business unit in the United Kingdom. You will collaborate with international colleagues across sales, business development, process engineering and project delivery, bringing together customer insight and technical expertise to turn opportunities into successful wastewater treatment projects.
What you bring
You combine process engineering expertise with sound commercial judgement and a clear focus on results. You establish credibility in technical discussions, ask insightful questions and translate complex requirements into persuasive proposals. Comfortable working independently, you bring the right colleagues together and maintain momentum throughout complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- A background in wastewater process engineering with a strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment processes, preferably with a degree or higher qualification in chemical, environmental or process engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of the UK wastewater sector and how water companies, consultants, contractors and delivery partners evaluate, procure and implement treatment technologies.
- Proven experience in technical sales, proposal development or commercial delivery, and the ability to turn process requirements into commercially attractive solutions.
- Demonstratable sales skills and attitude - for example, a track record of independently leading complex sales opportunities through qualification, technology positioning, tendering, negotiation and contract award.
- Excellent written and spoken English, strong proposal-writing and negotiation skills, and a willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally internationally.
