About Our Environment Resilience Renewables Advisory Group
Our UK Acoustics practice has an enviable portfolio across markets such as aviation, energy, buildings, maritime, industry and urban development. We specialise in complex projects, addressing environmental noise and vibration effects on people, wildlife, and marine mammals. Collaborations with species experts inform our approach. We also advise on building acoustic design, occupational acoustics, and industrial noise control.
As part of Environment Resilience Renewables, we provide comprehensive environmental services to all project sizes, from offshore wind farms to nuclear power plants, and offerings such as carbon management and biodiversity net gain.
Job Role
We seek an enthusiastic and talented candidate with strong communication skills and technical expertise in noise and vibration. Key responsibilities include:
- Perform predictive calculations and modelling on a variety of projects.
- Prepare and write technical reports.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments.
- Design building acoustics and provide mitigation advice.
- Offer technical support to junior team members.
- Contribute to business development and client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject and/or the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.
- Minimum five years of experience in acoustic consultancy.
- Experience in noise monitoring surveys, modelling software, and Environmental Impact Assessment.
- Working knowledge of applicable legislation and guidelines.
- Knowledge of underwater noise modelling.
- Commercial awareness, interest in securing new business, and confidence at client interface.
- Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics.
