Haskoning is a UK leading marine environmental consultancy, with over 30 years’ experience supporting coastal and marine clients. We specialise in consenting, permitting and licensing for complex coastal and marine infrastructure developments and operations, both within the UK and internationally.
Our UK Environment team comprises over 150 staff, and we are known for adding value and delivering proactive, solution-oriented approaches while maintaining regulators' respect and achieving consent for proposals in and around protected environments. We have an extensive portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors and geographical areas.
Due to an extensive and growing portfolio of marine development work, we are looking to expand our team and are seeking enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented people with excellent communication skills and proven technical ability to join our marine team.

Job Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in relation to the consenting of coastal and marine infrastructure developments, including delivery of EIAs and HRAs. In this role, you will assist with the delivery of complex environmental assessment projects, including the coordination of multidisciplinary teams. Your role will involve directly working with clients, problem-solving and representing the company in client offices, regulator and stakeholder meetings.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrable experience in the delivery of EIAs and the marine consenting process, ideally for ports and harbours related projects and/or coastal management.
- Demonstrate good understanding of how marine development can progress successfully through the complex coastal and marine regulatory regime in relation to relevant international and domestic legislation and policy.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Robust project management and financial management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
