In our UKābased electrical team, we are contributing to the energy transition needs of our client base, predominantly in the execution of renewablesābased solutions involving wind, solar, and other renewableārelated technologies. In the maritime space, many of our projects concern ports and maritime electrical infrastructure worldwide. We have provided expert commercial, technical and operational advice and created master plans across the five continents for a wide range of port projects. We are one of the largest and most experienced teams of renewables and maritime professionals/engineers globally and we are world leaders in the production of feasibility studies, master plans, and designs.
Role Context and Responsibilities
Our increasing workload from a range of challenging local and international projects has given us the opportunity to expand our Electrical team across the UK region. The team will serve our established offering in the maritime sector but will also serve our developing offering in the renewables sector. We require Senior Electrical Engineers with 5 ā 10 years of experience to support the wider team in the delivery of consultancy services to current and new clients. In addition, the role will require the development of digital methods to improve the quality and productivity of the services we offer. This is a stimulating opportunity to work within a vibrant and experienced team, where you will be exposed to early responsibility and the chance to work with a prestigious group of international clients.
- Providing expertise on a broad range of engineering projects
- Designing electrical engineering systems, primarily including HV, MV, LV distribution, internal and external lighting, and other electrical systems
- Preparing design calculations, drawings, studies, specifications, and reports
- Liaising with clients, project directors and other project team members
- Carrying out feasibility studies, surveys, and inspections on site
- Preparing reports and cost estimates
- Undertaking continuous personal development to satisfy the IET and having a keen desire to be active within the local and national IET network representing Haskoning
- Identifying new opportunities for the company and providing excellent client satisfaction
Qualifications
- BEng (Hons) or MEng in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Attainment of or working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council UK (ECUK) at Chartered (CEng) level leading to Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
- Knowledge, experience and practical application of:
- HV/MV and LV electrical installations such as electrical supply and outdoor lighting infrastructure
- IEC / ISO and other international standards
- Application of EU legislation
- Knowledge and practical experience of one or more of the following design tools: AutoCAD; Revit; ETAP; PSCAD; PowerFactory (DIgSILENT); Dialux; Relux; and Trimble
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Renewables such as offshore renewables, EV infrastructure, and future energy systems
- Ports or Maritime (including on site experience)
- Petrochemical
- Knowledge and/or experience of onshore and offshore power systems
- The ability to be security cleared (or already security cleared) for UKābased defence work
