We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the Birdworld team on a permanent and full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
Birdworld is currently at an exciting stage of largescale development. Set within 26 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens, Birdworld is one of the largest bird parks in the country and is home to a diverse collection of species. We pride ourselves on our educational and conservation values.
Pay: Salary from £29,000 per annum.
About the Role
The Play Barn & Catering Team Leader will be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the catering operations across the park and the guest experience in the Play Barn. The Team Leader will provide effective leadership to the team and ensure a high level of guest service and experience is delivered. A Basic DBS Check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive and support high levels of guest service across all areas of catering and the Play Barn.
- Manage catering performance across the park in order to meet sales and margin targets and to remain within budget.
- Ensure required compliance with regards to health and safety and food safety regulations within the catering and play barn areas.
About you
- Experience in food service or hospitality leadership.
- Experience of a visitor attraction (desirable).
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge and understanding of food hygiene within a commercial environment.
- IT system/data-base experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Have strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
