We are recruiting a Front of House Manager on a full-time and permanent basis. Pay Rate up to £35,000 per annum.

The role of Front of House Manager involves managing the Restaurant Team to maximise profit and minimise loss, while offering excellent customer service through effective product display and presentation to meet company sales targets and objectives. You will assist the Restaurant General Manager in leading the restaurant team and actively contribute towards the achievement of budgeted sales and margins including the overall control of the restaurant stock levels and payroll. You will also support your Restaurant General Manager and Head Chef in recruitment, induction and training of all new catering staff, identifying individual development needs and actively supporting their personal training and development plans.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maximises the Restaurant performance by managing, supporting and directing Restaurant Team in order to meet Restaurant sales/losses targets.
- Actively contributes to the achievement of budgeted sales and margins, ensuring adherence to procedures for ordering product lines/consumables and the overall control of the Restaurant stock levels.
- Manages the Restaurant Team to effectively store and handle food/drink products, including all stock rotation, in order to minimise losses and maximise stock availability.
- Actively supports the stock-take process by ensuring accurate and timely data is recorded/reported.
- Constantly reviews and adjusts, where appropriate, Restaurant staffing levels in order to meet the needs of the customer/business.
- Manages the recruitment and induction of all new Restaurant staff in-line with corporate guidelines and associated budgets.
- Identifies individual development needs and actively supports in the delivery of their personal training and development plans, in-line with Restaurant/Garden Centre succession plans.
- Leads and drives high levels of customer service across all areas of the department for the benefit of both internal and external customers.
- Ensures a high standard of housekeeping within the department in-line with company guidelines through daily ‘face to face’ communication with Restaurant Team.
- Operates very clear lines of communication within the team so that all Restaurant and Garden Centre information and best working practice is effectively communicated.
- Ensures all company security procedures are adhered to in order that both internal and external losses are minimised.
- Manages a safe working environment to ensure both company and legislative health and safety/food hygiene requirements are met.
- To be involved in other business related activities/projects as required.
About You:
You will have excellent planning and prioritising skills and be able to demonstrate outstanding people and team management. You should have previous large volume & high turnover catering/hospitality related management experience and you must also have excellent customer service & communication skills. A working knowledge of health & safety/food hygiene legislation is also required.
