We are recruiting a Stock Control Driver/Assistant to work 3 days a week: Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 9am to 6pm. Salary is £12.71 per hour.
The role of Stock Control Driver/Assistant involves:
- Picking and loading goods into our delivery van
- Transporting and efficiently delivering stock to customers' houses
- Assisting with the daily operations of the Stock Control Team
- Delivering accurate administration to maximise profit and minimise losses
- Collaborating with the Operations Team and wider Garden Centre
Skills required for the role:
- Previous Goods-In and/or Warehouse related experience
- Previous delivery driving experience
- Excellent communication and networking skills at all levels
- Methodical approach to work with a high attention to detail
- Administration experience with excellent up-to-date knowledge of IT systems
- Planning, prioritising, and attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse and shop floor environment
- Enjoyment of team-working
- Highly self-motivated
- High standard of personal presentation
This role requires a strong level of fitness as heavy lifting is frequently required.
Role includes:
- Packing, palletising, and picking stock
- Organising and keeping all working areas safe, secure, and tidy
- Unloading and loading of stock
- Accurate booking in of stock
- Driving the work van to deliver customer goods
- Building furniture
- Supporting colleagues and providing cover for tasks and responsibilities as needed
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Valid – willing to learn Fork-Lift license
- Full UK Driving License
