Overview
You will be required to assist in the day-to-day running of a very busy production kitchen, supplying food for the restaurant in our garden centre. This role benefits from sociable hours with no split-shifts, alternate weekends off, plus a day off in the week and only one late night a week.
We are recruiting a Commis Chef on a full-time, permanent basis, working 38 hours per week with alternate weekends. Pay rate from £25,610 per annum DOE. Haskins Garden Centres is a family-owned, award-winning business with 5 destination garden centres across the South of England, each with a large restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day running of a busy production kitchen, supplying food for the restaurant in our garden centre.
- Prepare salads, soups, breakfasts and lunch.
- Oversee counter service, the carvery, pizza oven and patisserie counter.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience is not essential; training will be provided for the right person.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a close-knit team is essential.
- Willingness to learn and deliver excellent customer service.
