Assistant Restaurant Manager
We are looking to hire a full-time, permanent Assistant Restaurant Manager at our West End Garden Centre, working 38 hours per week including alternate weekends.
Salary from £31,000 per annum D.O.E.
Haskins Garden Centres is a family owned, award winning business with 5 destination garden centres across the South of England, each with a large restaurant.
The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will assist the Restaurant General Manager in leading a large restaurant team and offering excellent customer service.
You will lead and motivate staff to achieve excellent service and effective product display and presentation that actively contributes towards the achievement of budgeted sales and margins.
You will be required to manage and deliver the induction and training of all new catering staff as well as identifying individuals needs and actively supporting learning and development plans.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Management of Sickness and Absence
- Customer Service Training
- Developing training plans and sign off completed tasks
- Ensuring processes and documentation kept up to date in line with Audit expectations
- Effectively dealing with complaints
- Recruitment and induction of Restaurant staff
About You
This role is ideal for an individual that demonstrates outstanding leadership skills and has previous large volume & high turnover catering/hospitality related management experience. Excellent customer service & communication skills are essential with a working knowledge of health & safety/food hygiene legislation also required.
