This is an exciting work experience and/or voluntary work opportunity as a Therapy Assistant within our team at Hashir International Institute.
The post holder will:
- Assist in assessing patient feedback about their therapy sessions using our validated online Patient Experience Questionnaire (PEQ).
- Liaise with the GPs in their local area.
- Assist patients who are undertaking internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for tinnitus.
- Assist other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the clinics.
- Share responsibilities with administration staff and medical secretaries within the institute.
- Contribute to data collection for research studies.
- Contribute to dissemination of research results in conferences, scientific meetings, and via social media.
- Assist in developing the institute's teaching and learning programmes such as the Patient Education Programme (PEP) suitable for patients and professionals.
- Assist in organising Public Involvement initiatives within the institute, ranging from raising awareness about misophonia/tinnitus/hyperacusis to art competitions, citizen science, and action research.
Hashir International Institute is an independent, UK-based research institute and multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinic employing audiologists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, health psychologists, neuroscientists, and researchers.
The post holder will need to be a motivated and flexible team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
