HASH is building an open-source platform for structured knowledge and organizational decision-making. We turn information from databases, applications, documents, communications, sensors, and other sources into continuously updated knowledge and process graphs. From this shared model, organizations can analyze their operations, simulate possible futures, automate workflows, and give AI agents the context they need to act reliably. Our mission is to solve information failure and enable everybody to make the right decisions. We work on difficult technical and commercial problems, including applications in regulated and safety-critical environments.

In the last six months we’ve seen significant growth and are now scaling fast. We have working technology, customer results and senior people who can run strong discovery and technical conversations. We’re hiring our first Outbound Business Development Lead to create a much larger and more systematic flow of the right people into those conversations.

Your job is to identify organizations that could run valuable HASH pilots, find the right stakeholders, form a credible hypothesis about where we could help, contact them cold and turn interest into qualified meetings. This is a zero-to-one role. Marketing will not hand you a full pipeline, and a manager will not hand you a finished call list or script. You will build the outbound motion yourself: targeting, research, data, tooling, messaging, cadences, qualification, CRM and measurement. You’ll work directly with HASH’s founder, Enterprise Sales Lead and Solutions Lead, and use the conversations you create to improve the system quickly.

Requirements

  • A record of personally creating qualified B2B meetings from cold accounts, rather than only working inbound leads or an existing network.
  • Excellent concise writing: your outreach should sound like a smart person with a relevant idea, not an automated sequence.
  • Strong account-research ability and the judgment to find a specific operational hypothesis in incomplete public information.
  • Comfort with cold email, phone, LinkedIn and persistent follow-up, without sacrificing relevance or respect for the prospect.
  • Fluency with CRM, enrichment, sequencing, automation and AI-assisted research; you know how to gain leverage without producing generic spam.
  • Enough curiosity about AI, data and complex operations to understand what HASH does and where it may create material value.
  • High agency, energy and organization, with the ability to build a function without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Experience in enterprise AI, data infrastructure, developer tools or other technical B2B software is useful. So is exposure to supply chains, manufacturing, life sciences, chemicals, logistics, energy or other operationally complex industries.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential; German or another European language is valuable.

What you'll do

  • Identify industries, companies and operational situations in which a HASH pilot could create measurable value.
  • Build and maintain target-account lists, stakeholder maps and useful segmentation.
  • Find executives, operators, transformation leaders and technical champions who own the relevant problems.
  • Research each account deeply enough to create a credible, specific reason to engage.
  • Own cold email, phone, LinkedIn and other outbound channels end to end.
  • Develop and test messaging, cadences, triggers and offers for different accounts and personas.
  • Qualify prospects and book focused meetings for discovery and demonstrations.
  • Prepare an account brief for every meeting, including the likely problem, participants, context and proposed angle.
  • Attend selected meetings, capture objections and buying signals, and feed what you learn back into targeting and messaging.
  • Maintain excellent CRM hygiene, execute every follow-up and report honestly on funnel performance.
  • Measure conversion by segment, persona, trigger, channel and message, and change course when the evidence warrants it.
  • Build the playbook and, as the function grows, help hire and train the people who follow you.

Success is qualified meetings held with people and organizations that could plausibly run a valuable HASH pilot, and the rate at which those meetings become accepted opportunities. Raw activity is a diagnostic, not the goal.

Why HASH

  • We've raised $5.5m+ from Silicon Valley VCs, and have contracted >$10m in revenue in the last 18 months.
  • Our founding team have established and sold companies for tens of millions, hundreds of millions, and billions of dollars (including household names like Trello and Stack Overflow).
  • Build the first outbound motion around technically differentiated, open-source AI infrastructure.
  • Work directly with the founder and the people building and deploying the product.
  • Influence which markets we pursue, how we explain the technology and what we build next.
  • Join at a moment of rapid growth, with outsized scope and influence.
  • Be part of a high-agency team that cares about output, ownership and quality.

This role is probably not for you if

  • Your experience is limited to operating mature functions with established teams and processes.
  • You want to oversee an outbound process but do not want to execute on it personally.
  • You need problems to be carefully defined before you begin working on them.
  • You prefer consensus to making a timely decision.
  • You want a narrow remit with predictable boundaries.
  • You are not interested in understanding a deeply technical product.
  • You simply want to scale an existing process, rather than develop, execute and iterate on strategy from the ground-up.

Benefits

A base salary will be offered of £65,000-90,000 in London. Compensation in this role is extremely heavily performance-based, with generous equity/bonus offered in addition to the base salary, in order to align incentives.
