As an Intellectual Property Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of IP attorneys and professionals. This internship program is designed to provide you with handsâon experience and exposure to various aspects of IP Law through classroomâbased learning, similar to the training provided to our trainee attorneys when enrolled at our HLK Academy.
We secure intellectual property rights for prominent companies as well as highly creative startâup businesses. The core of the job is the preparation of patent applications on behalf of clients, which involves understanding an invention, distilling its key features, and writing a clear and broad description so that a Patent Examiner will be persuaded to grant a patent. A Patent Attorney will also advise clients on all aspects of patent procedures, on international patent protection and on effective patent strategies.

- Collaborate with IP attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive IP solutions.
- Academic background in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Expected to hold at least a 2:1 grade.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
- Motivated and eager to gain practical experience in IP law.
ÂŁ500 for the internship, with HLK covering travel expenses for the week.
