If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity, leading change, and improving how teams work across markets, this could be a great next step. As Market Distribution Planner – Project Lead, you will lead regional projects and processes that help improve inventory visibility, reporting, governance, and ways of working across EMEA. This is a role for someone who can spot gaps, simplify inconsistent local practices, and turn them into scalable regional routines. You will help create more consistency, better data visibility, and stronger execution across the Europe MDP organisation, while local teams remain accountable for day-to-day delivery.
You will work closely with the MDP Manager and partner with Supply Chain Analytics, Demand Planning, Supply, Finance, Commercial, and Marketing teams to design, launch, and embed practical cross‑functional solutions.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Own and improve key regional MDP processes, which may include inventory projections, inventory policy visibility, excess and closeout governance, channel controls, and launch‑readiness standards.
- Create and maintain the templates, reporting cadence, controls, KPI logic, and documentation needed to support consistent adoption across markets.
- Provide clear visibility of structural inventory or process risks, while keeping execution ownership with local MDP teams.
- Lead regional MDP projects from initial scoping through to rollout, hypercare and stabilisation, managing timelines, actions, risks and stakeholder alignment.
- Identify opportunities to simplify manual activity, remove low‑value work and improve automation in partnership with analytics or technology teams.
- Support the MDP Manager in turning operational pain points into clear project priorities and practical delivery plans.
- Bring together inventory health signals across plants and markets, coordinate excess and closeout routines, and help prioritise the biggest risks that need cross‑functional action.
- Strengthen reporting discipline and promote consistent dashboard use by challenging fragmented local reporting and improving visibility.
- Support MDP community content, training materials, playbooks, and onboarding for the processes or projects you lead.
- Act as a key point of contact for your project or process area across Demand Planning, Supply, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Analytics, and other relevant teams.
- Escalate structural issues where policy decisions, resource alignment, or leadership support are needed.
Experience What we’re looking for
- Experience in supply chain, planning, inventory management, and project delivery.
- Good understanding of inventory management and how to balance service, cost and governance.
- Experience leading projects and working across different teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into practical actions.
- Experience creating clear processes, KPIs, templates, or reporting routines.
- Comfort working with analytics or technology teams to improve visibility and reduce manual work.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, or a related field would be useful, but is not essential.
Behaviours
- Structured, practical, and solution‑focused.
- Confident in influencing others and building alignment across teams.
- Comfortable leading change and improving ways of working.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on consistency.
- Curious, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo constructively.
