As one of our YouTube Channel Managers, you will be responsible for the operation and growth of several high-profile YouTube channels, representing key priority brands across 40M+ subscribers and 400M+ monthly views. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive YouTube strategy, focusing on long-term channel growth, audience engagement, and brand alignment. This position is located within our Hasbro Entertainment division, based at our Capper Street offices in London, UK and follows a hybrid working model, with required in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while offering flexibility for remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset with a strong analytical foundation, using data and performance insights to drive decisions, shape content direction, and continuously optimise channel growth. This role requires a proven track record of managing large-scale YouTube channels, a genuine passion for kids’ and family content, and the ability to translate audience and performance data into content strategies that resonate. The YouTube Channel Manager will be expected to continuously monitor the competitive landscape, translating insights into refined content strategies that keep Hasbro’s channels ahead of industry benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities- Content Strategy & Programming: Develop and implement a comprehensive content programming strategy across YouTube channels and multiple territories, closely aligning with both brand and audience needs. Own and manage the content calendar, ensuring a consistent publishing cadence and that high-quality video content and artwork align with brand strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Content Optimisation & SEO: Oversee the optimisation of titles, descriptions, metadata, tags, and thumbnails to maximise click-through rates, search visibility, and overall channel performance.
- Data, Automation & Performance: Utilise YouTube Analytics, automation tools, and third-party platforms to continuously test content approaches, measure performance, and pivot strategy based on results. Leverage AI tools to support workflow efficiency, content testing, and performance analysis, ensuring data-driven decisions are made quickly and efficiently to drive channel growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Marketing, Product Development, and Brand Management, to align YouTube strategies with broader business objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present detailed and contextualised reports on channel performance, growth strategies, and key insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on objectives.
- Audience & Competitive Insights: Continuously monitor and analyse competitor channels and other market trends, using insights to refine Hasbro's channel management and creative strategies, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge.
- Trend & Format Innovation: Proactively spot emerging content trends and platform formats, translating them into new ideas for channel programming. Identify creative ways to repackage and extend existing content to maximise reach and relevance across audiences.
- Insights-Led Content Development: Work closely with production teams to develop original content, providing theme and format recommendations grounded in audience insights, content trends, and channel performance data.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success managing large-scale YouTube channels, with measurable outcomes in channel growth, audience development, and content performance. Strong understanding of YouTube’s platform, algorithms, and best practices.
- Platform & Analytics Proficiency: Deep understanding of all YouTube features, including advanced analytics and third-party measurement platforms (e.g., Tubular Labs). Familiarity with design and editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro is an advantage.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets and translating them into simple, actionable growth strategies.
- Project & Workflow Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing content calendar deadlines, cross-functional dependencies, and territory requirements without losing sight of quality or strategic priorities.
- Creative & Trend-Led: Pitches new content formats and ideas, spots trends early, and finds creative ways to repackage and extend existing content to serve different audiences and formats.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with team members, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive & Adaptable: Highly proactive, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, lead under pressure, and adapt quickly to changes in the digital landscape.
- Multilingual Advantage: Proficiency in another language is preferred but not required, enhancing the ability to manage channels in multiple regions.
