JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Parts Supervisor is to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the parts ordering system is operating effectively, checking that parts are available to meet customer needs.
- Use electronic lists to ensure the correct part is identified for the customer.
- Complete the required documentation accurately, clearly and quickly, handle all forms of payment accurately.
- Check incoming stock and ensure correct receipt procedures are followed.
- Input complete and accurate stock delivered details onto the department system.
- Contact the manufacturer, supplier or carrier to resolve delivery problems.
- Pick and label parts accurately using a picking list, identify stock which needs to be relocated.
- Assist the Parts Manager in implementing the parts marketing plan.
- Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, taking action to rectify any known faults or hazards.
