Job Purpose
The role of the Head of Business is to effectively manage the resources within the business to achieve the required objectives, including sales volumes, profitability, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and loyalty levels.

Reports to: Brand Director
Direct Reports: Sales and Aftersales Managers
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a customer‑service driven environment and culture through regular communication, team building and coaching with managers and employees of the business.
- Understand manufacturer mystery‑shopping criteria and apply this knowledge.
- Communicate and maintain customer service standards and measurements in line with the brand requirements; achieve balanced scorecard targets.
- Provide clear leadership by ensuring the vision and objectives for the business are understood and communicated by the staff.
- Recruit department managers in line with organisational requirements.
- Agree objectives and work standards with department managers and review their performance on a regular basis.
- Develop and monitor the business plan for all sales areas with senior managers and the manufacturer to meet business objectives, profit margins and market penetration; liaise regularly with manufacturer representatives and company senior managers to review key performance indicators.
- Ensure the business adheres to current UK legislation and that manufacturer operating standards, policies, procedures and financial controls are regularly reviewed to maximise performance.
- Formulate and agree marketing activities and budgets to create and maintain brand awareness.
- Ensure all staff are aware of Health and Safety requirements and regularly review with department managers to comply with regulations.
