I'm currently supporting a well established Law firm in Basingstoke who is recruiting for an experienced Conveyancer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work for a friendly, supportive and fast paced Conveyancing team, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including hybrid working.
Day to day duties will include:
- Taking instructions from clients in all domestic conveyancing transactions.
- Assisting other members of the team with workloads and file opening.
- Working alongside the Legal Secretary team to manage all due diligence and supporting paperwork.
- Complying with all CQS requirements.
- Utilising the case management system (LEAP) and time recording as required.
- Monitoring and developing with the Department Head the systems connected with the Property Department.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local estate agencies and/or mortgage brokers.
Other Duties:
- Covering for other Fee-Earners in the Property Department when they are sick, on holiday or as directed by the Head of Department.
- Undertaking such other tasks or duties as the Head of Department or Partners may reasonably require.
The ideal candidates will have:
- 2 years PQE or other equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- The ability to work to deadlines.
- Able to work independently without secretarial support.
