A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary in Banbury, working with the Dispute Resolution Department on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide a full secretarial and support service within the department, supporting a Senior Solicitor and Paralegal. You will need excellent keyboard skills, a polite and patient manner, initiative, and a flexible approach; no previous experience needed - just excellent administration skills.
Day to day duties include:
- Undertaking typing and secretarial work within the Dispute Resolution Department
- Dealing with initial new client enquiries, allocating them amongst fee earners and signposting appropriately
- Handling of and dealing with clients’ calls (as delegated by fee earners) and liaising with fee earners on case developments
- Dealing with clients by phone, email and in person as required
- Making appointments for clients and diary management
- Conflict checks on new clients
- Maintaining files and ensuring efficient case management of matters
- Preparing bundles for court
- Preparing documents as required by fee earners
- File opening and closing of matters using the case management system
- Producing accurate detailed work to ensure excellence in legal services
- Attending Dispute Resolution Department Support Meetings and Firm Wide Meetings
