I am recruiting for a Conveyancing Assistant to join a fast paced and supportive Residential Conveyancing team in Chandler’s Ford.
This is a 9-month maternity cover contract, and you’ll be working closely with the Fee Earners to keep things moving for clients through the early stages of their conveyancing journey.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing quotes, opening new files, carrying out ID checks and supporting clients.
Ideally you will have previous experience in residential conveyancing, property or administration who is confident communicating with clients and working as part of a busy team.

Due to the nature of the role, this position is fully office based 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Day to day duties will include -
- Providing an initial point of contact for clients, both in person and by phone or email.
- Providing quotes and taking client’s instructions and dealing with the opening of files.
- Dealing with calls from clients, solicitors and agents where possible.
- Reviewing and processing clients’ completed instruction forms, reviewing ID and Money
- Laundering checks and making further enquiries with clients where necessary.
- Monitoring the new business inbox for the firm’s residential conveyancing department.
- Monitoring the firm’s quotation platform and diarising follow ups.
- Obtaining redemption figures and deeds
- Obtaining title documentation from Land Registry
- Requesting Landlord/management packs
- Preparing contract documentation and issuing contracts where asked to do so.
- Applying for searches
- Maintaining team and appointment diaries
- Repairs to office equipment (excluding IT equipment)
- Organising team meetings and office events where asked to do so.
