Product Sampling and Cable Technician Salary: £26,000/annum Location: Portsmouth Hours: 39 Hours/week Do you want to work for a manufacturing company specialising in the innovative design and production of electrical / electronic components? We are recruiting for a Product Sampling and Cable Technician who is responsible for providing free of charge evaluation samples for the development of new business, as well as expert advice on sample selection across all territories. This role is crucial for securing new design-in opportunities and enabling future sales growth. Salary and Benefits: Competitive Salary £26,000/annum 25 days holiday plus bank/public hols Employee Assistance Programme Company pension scheme Life Cover 3x salary Company bonus scheme Role: Develop a deep understanding for Harwin products and the markets they serve Provide recommendations to both internal and external customers upon sampling selection Receiving sample orders from our global customer base Good understanding of ERP systems, and using this to streamline the Sample process Picking products from our sample warehouse stock, managed in an automated carousel process Use knowledge and experience of Harwin products to assemble items from piece parts when top-level products are not readily available, including cable assembly builds. Packaging sample orders, and liaising with dispatch team ready for courier pick ups Warehouse management, involving stock takes and organisation of warehouse storage Working independently, problem solving Achieving Department KPIs and acting in line with Harwins strategy Requirements: Experience of working within a warehouse environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Strong communication skills Desirable: Experience in building cable harnesses Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar standards Experience working in a manufacturing environment Please apply today with your CV for this exciting role of Product Sampling and Cable Technician.
