As a Maintenance Engineer, you will undertake maintenance, repairs, and installations, working with other departments at the Port of Felixstowe to help focus and further drive HPUK business strategy objectives including our NetZero targets and further projects.

Role Overview:
The role holder will be responsible for undertaking maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to maintain mechanical and electrical systems across the Port of Felixstowe’s infrastructure. This role involves working collaboratively across the engineering department to support both routine operations and new projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure electrical / mechanical installations on the Ports plant/equipment are repaired and maintained in a safe, cost-effective manner with minimal operational disruption.
- Prioritising safety and work to meet all the business requirements at the Port of Felixstowe, whilst ensuring the maintenance and installations are managed safely for yourself and others.
- Regular progress reports on all maintenance, installation and commissioning work, updating the status of all ongoing repair work to Supervisors and management staff.
What you need:
- ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering along with demonstration of a proven practical capability in mechanical electrical engineering covering the technology of site equipment.
- Ability to diagnose complex faults with sometimes limited data/history.
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team.
- Full DVLA UK Driver’s License.
Shifts & Pay:
Basic salary: £39,709 - £66,109 per annum depending on skill, experience and shift pay. Hours: 42 hours per week.
