Hutchison Ports (UK) - Port of Felixstowe is the largest deep-water Port in the UK and to support our continued growth and development, w e plan to recruit Port Operatives to join us in this integral role involving a mix of labouring and driving.
Initially you will be trained as a labourer to safely place or remove twistlocks or under deck stackers in the corners of containers being loaded or discharged to/from a ship & tracking progress using IT systems as required. You will be trained for tractor driving at a later date based on business circumstances.
Experience is not required as full training is provided, but a positive work ethic is essential alongside a can-do attitude, reliability, flexibility and the ability to learn and develop new skills. The successful applicants would receive a basic salary of £33,287 per annum (plus up to £4,032 per year in shift pay and up to £3,026 bonus, subject to scheme rules).
Working hours are based on 50% fixed shifts (4 on 4 off i.e., 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 off) and 50% flexible shifts where your shifts are allocated based on workload.

- Must hold a full DVLA licence (manual). You will not progress to driving duties until you have held this for a minimum of one year
- Aged 18 or over
- Flexible approach to working patterns (days/nights/weekends/bank holidays as required).
- You must weigh less than 130kg due to health and safety regulations.
