Role Overview

The Head of Sales – Field Sales will oversee the daily operations of the direct Sales team, holding direct line management responsibility for three Regional Sales Managers and indirect accountability for the performance of 60 self‑employed sales demonstrators. You will collaborate closely with other management team members and key stakeholders, including Internal Sales and Marketing, to ensure seamless customer engagement and effective performance delivery, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve our processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to and collaborating with the Harvey Sales Director, the Harvey Head of Sales will be in charge of managing and overseeing the sales operations for retail (direct sales).
  • Drive all the Sales aspects of increasing Annual Recurring Revenues (ARR), via new customers and existing customers, while controlling costs and ensuring above budget targets in Volume, Margin, and conversion rates.
  • Deliver a world class customer journey so all our customers become advocates of the Harvey journey.
  • Review the current strategy, develop and implement your plan to increase performance above market performance aligned with over delivery of the yearly budgets, whilst sharing with the MD and the Senior Team.
  • Development of your Managers to ensure they are driving the right performance in commercial achievement, people and the customer arenas against the KPI dashboard.
  • Work closely with other departments, especially focused on the Marketing team and the Field Operations Team to ensure alignment and teamwork to deliver the key KPI’s.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in the business to ensure we are compliant with particular focus on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements and Health and Safety.
  • Manage the Sales Managers to ensure the right focus and direction on actions and the strategic pathway for how to work with the Field Sales Demonstrators.
  • Liaise closely with the Inbound and Outbound Call Centre teams to ensure delivery against targets.
  • Partner and build credibility with the Harvey and the UK Leadership team.
  • Quickly build rapport, credibility and trust within the Sales department.
  • Lead your team effectively, supporting Harvey’s goal to become an employer of choice, through the delivery of core people initiatives such as the meaningful management of the PPM cycle annually and eNPS action plans.
