Join Harvey Water Softeners as a Financial Analyst, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial performance through insightful reporting and analysis. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, your primary focus will be to prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports to senior management and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as to maintain robust financial systems and procedures. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be essential as you work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Management Accountant in delivering precise and timely monthly management accounts for various entities within the “Harvey” Group of Companies.
- Maintain and report loan balances between Group Companies and interest payments.
- Take charge of transactional postings in IFS (ERP), making sure that the financial data is both complete and accurate.
- Manage the reconciliation of the bank and fixed assets register, including depreciation postings.
- Analyse trends and variances in financial performance and interpret the associated business implications.
- Raise ICO recharge invoices across affiliate companies.
- Reconcile monthly ICO balances with affiliate companies.
- Load and reconcile trial balances into HFM.
- Support quarterly and annual reporting, including consolidation of results and preparation of presentations for senior management.
- Support the audit processes – both external and internal audits.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Actively participate in ad-hoc projects and analyses as required by the Management Accountant or leadership team.
We’re looking for a highly motivated and improvement-oriented Financial Analyst who showcases strong problem-solving, planning, and communication abilities. Ideally, you should be pursuing ACCA or CIMA as a minimum qualification.
2+ years of experience in financial analysis/management accounts preferably in a corporate finance environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling techniques.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the capability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience with financial reporting software and IFS ERP system is a plus.
A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
