We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure our suppliers meet quality standards and specifications. The SQE will act as a Harvey Ambassador, collaborating with our supplier base and global procurement team to secure comprehensive supply contracts, negotiate terms for optimal market rates, and focus on inbound part quality control. Responsibilities include analyzing defect data, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and performing supplier audits to verify compliance. The role involves working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Service, and Supply Chain teams to enhance quality control, identify process improvements, and analyze trends for continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: Supplier Evaluation: Assess and select suppliers based on quality, capability, and cost considerations. Contract Reviews: Ensure contractual agreements are in place and align with departmental goals. Quality Audits: Conduct audits to standardize processes and eliminate waste. KPI Monitoring: Track KPIs like On-Time Delivery, DPMO, and COPQ to drive improvements. Issue Resolution: Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues. Collaboration: Work with suppliers on quality problems and corrective actions. Performance Metrics: Manage supplier performance assessments and certification programs. Training: Educate suppliers on quality systems. Coordination: Liaise with engineering and procurement to ensure compliance. Ideal candidate profile: Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. 3-5 years in quality engineering or similar roles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and statistical tools. Negotiation skills and familiarity with supplier contracts.
