An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Reward Consulting practice as an Executive Compensation Consultant. Working with a prestigious portfolio of listed and privately owned businesses, you will advise boards, remuneration committees, and senior executives on complex executive reward and governance matters. This role sits within a specialist Executive Compensation team and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile engagements involving board remuneration, incentive design and implementation, governance, investor engagement, and executive pay strategy. You will collaborate closely with specialists across reward, share schemes, mobility, tax, and benefits disciplines to deliver market-leading advice to clients.

The Role

  • Support and lead client engagements across a broad range of executive remuneration matters, including:
    • Designing executive remuneration strategies that align reward with corporate performance and shareholder expectations
    • Advising on long-term incentive plans, including performance metrics and outcome modelling
    • Supporting the design and implementation of cash and equity-based incentive arrangements
    • Advising on tax, accounting, governance, and funding considerations relating to executive reward structures
    • Drafting and reviewing Directors' Remuneration Reports
    • Preparing and reviewing Remuneration Committee (REMCO) papers and supporting committee meetings
    • Advising on investor relations matters and engaging with institutional investors and shareholder bodies
    • Conducting executive and non-executive director benchmarking exercises
    • Supporting business development initiatives, client proposals, and thought leadership activities

About You

  • Proven experience in executive compensation, executive reward, remuneration consulting, or board advisory
  • Experience advising listed companies, including FTSE Main Market and/or AIM-listed businesses
  • Strong technical knowledge of executive remuneration and UK corporate governance requirements
  • Understanding of UK Directors' Remuneration Reporting Regulations and wider executive pay legislation
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships within a consulting, advisory, or professional services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality client-facing work
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience mentoring, managing, or delegating work to junior team members
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development activities
