Analyst – Executive Remuneration for Leading Consulting firm – London

£35-£50k Base pay.

(2-3 years experience of working in Consulting required.)

Key aspects of the role will include researching companies, including their strategy, markets, comparators and executive pay arrangements, to gain insight that will enable the review and design of refined executive pay programmes that will better support a Company in delivering its strategy. The types of analysis will include reviewing financial analysts’ reports in relation to a Company, researching executive pay arrangements (including the quantum and structure) in comparator companies and benchmarking the current Company’s arrangements.

Analysis will also be undertaken into current trends in corporate governance, including the views of institutional investors on the area of executive pay. The analytical tools involved will be the use of Microsoft Excel to benchmark pay quantum and structure from data held in an Access Database, the use of DataStream to analyse performance conditions, the use of both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to prepare client reports.

The role will require the individual to work with a Consultant to draft client reports for review.

Primary Responsibilities

• Data collation.

• Data analytics (e.g. working with colleagues on databases to undertake benchmarking of pay levels and use of DataStream to conduct financial analysis).

• Using templates undertake data analysis.

• Financial modelling (e.g. costing pay proposals and designing incentive plans).

Analyst – Executive Remuneration

• Interpretation of data analysis to inform conclusions.

• Drafting basic reports (e.g. benchmarking review and incentive design).

• Interacting with clients to collect data.

• Client meeting attendance as required. The candidate will need to be flexible with the role providing the opportunity for fast development and personal progression in a dynamic environment.

Education, Experience & Other Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a university degree (2:2 or better) from a leading university.

• Candidate will have a minimum of two to three years’ experience actively working in executive remuneration (preferably in a consulting role), preferably with a maths or finance background.

• Candidate will be highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and have good knowledge of other Microsoft products (e.g. PowerPoint and Word) and have experience of working with DataStream/Bloomberg. Use of statistical packages
