About the role…
As a Store Detective you will be responsible for:
- Providing a fair and consistent level of enforcement of all Company policies and procedures and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Identifying and advising store management and staff of any possible stock loss risks and best practice in loss prevention.
- Detecting, apprehending and detaining persons guilty of stealing Company property, cash or merchandise;
- Conducting regular and random searches of employee and contractors’ possessions in line with the Company policy.
The ideal candidate for the Store Detective position will hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor License and have previous experience of security and loss prevention particularly in a luxury retail environment.
- In addition to this the candidate must have a good knowledge of Criminal Law, court procedures and security equipment.
- They must possess strong communication, organisational and planning skills, along with self-motivation and the ability to quickly adapt to challenging situations.
- The working hours for this position are 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, inclusive of weekends.
