About the role…
As Senior Online Trading Manager you will be responsible for leading our trading team and drive online performance for our global website. We want an ambitious and energetic individual, who is accustomed to troubleshooting and problem solving, with excellent stakeholder management skills. The Senior Online Trading Manager will take ownership for the trading of the website and lead the eCommerce trading team. You will be accountable for driving the performance across all categories, devise the trading strategy and forecast / prioritise seasonal and weekly promotions and other activity as needed.
The roles and responsibilities in this Senior Online Trading Manager include:
- Lead the online trade team to continuously trade the site to maximize sales, sell through and profit
- Build and manage the online trading calendar, aligning with Brand, Merchandising and Digital Marketing teams around new launches, promotional activity, sales, calendar events etc
- Report on online trading performance at weekly Trading meetings, highlighting key opportunities to improve performance and driving cross-functional alignment and support for agreed actions
- Work closely with digital marketing to identify and action levers to drive performance
- Build relationships across buying and merchandising teams to ensure alignment on targets, key product launches, stock opportunities and optimise performance
- Ensure products are launched onsite in a timely and efficient manner, co-ordinating with studio teams on priorities and standards
- Support category traders in ensuring maximum product exposure across the website and marketing channels
- Collaborate with the wider ecommerce team to identify and prioritise site functionality development and UX opportunities to improve commercial trade results
- Work with digital marketing, finance and merchandising teams to build budgets, quarterly and weekly forecasting and trade reporting
- Champion learning and development for the digital trading team

- Significant previous online trading experience, preferably in luxury multibrand retail
- Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching a digital trading team
- A solid track record of driving revenue and profit through online sales
- Highly commercial, results driven leader, able to execute in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of luxury fashion brands and their consumer
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and evidence of successful outcomes from collaborative projects
- Highly analytical and a keen eye for detail across both quantitative and qualitative data, with significant web analytics experience, preferably Google Analytics and Content Square
- Flexible, proactive, ready to take the initiative with proven track record of managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- A strong team manager who enjoys developing people and building teams
