OXO Tower Restaurant is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant team on London’s South Bank. Set within the iconic OXO Tower with stunning views across the River Thames, OXO Brasserie is known for its lively atmosphere, modern brasserie‑style dining, and seasonal menus.

The role involves managing the Restaurant team and operations, supporting the management team in providing outstanding service standards at OXO Tower and developing a team that maximises profit.

About the role
  • Maximise the success of the operation by ensuring the provision of outstanding standards of customer service throughout the OXO Tower Restaurant.
  • Ensure the goals of the Restaurant operation are achieved through effective and cost‑effective management and development of human resources within the Restaurant team.
  • Achieve individual tasks and projects through people, taking specific responsibility for the development of a management team to meet current and future needs.
  • Interview and recruit new team members according to the criteria specified for each role, liaising with the HR department.
  • Identify training requirements within the Restaurant team, and ensure appropriate and quality training is provided and recorded.
  • Recognise outstanding performance and the contribution of individuals and groups of individuals to team objectives.
  • Ensure that disciplinary and grievance procedures are followed precisely in liaison with the HR department.
  • Carry annual performance reviews and regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the OXO Tower Restaurant in line with standards established by the OXO Tower Restaurant and Bar, the company and the law.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely communication of all information to ensure the smooth operation of the department, and to ensure that opportunities for improvement can be analysed and actioned.
  • Liaise closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs regularly regarding menus, food sales and opportunities for improvements to overall customer service.
  • Ensure full closing procedure is adhered to.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and accounting procedures are followed by all staff within the Restaurant.
  • Be fully conversant with the computerised systems involved in the Restaurant operation.
  • Maintain a daily management log for the accurate communication of events and problems to other managers.
  • Attend internal or external training courses as required.
  • Be fully conversant with, and ensure the Restaurant team complies with, liquor licensing legislation.
  • Be fully aware of and adhere to company security policies.
  • Be fully conversant with operational systems and procedures and pass on constructive suggestions to senior managers.
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for customers, staff and suppliers.
  • Ensure the department meets statutory requirements for Risk Assessment standards and that staff are trained on procedures which minimise the risk of injury, illness and damage in the Restaurant.
  • Ensure all staff maintain high standards of personal hygiene, and that individuals and the operation meet food safety standards.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request as made by the GM at OXO Tower Restaurant Bar.
