Overview
Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a Postproduction & Asset Manager to join the team in our studio in Harlow. Our culture is based on inclusivity; we embrace diversity. About the role⦠As Postproduction & Asset Manager you will lead our in-house retouch team and be responsible for the coordination of all image assets through our studio. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our visual standards and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality digital content to our e-commerce platform. Working closely with photography, e-commerce, and third-party partners, you will streamline asset delivery, and oversee server and file structure management. You will also drive innovation and continuous improvement in our post-production processes, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team of internal re-touchers in the Harlow Photography Studio, allocating workload and being responsible for team targets, performance and goals.
- Manage all asset workflows across the studio, including both in-house and vendor-supplied imagery.
- Own the day-to-day management of the image library ensure all required imagery is correctly named, organised, and archived.
- Take ownership of internal studio server structure ensuring efficient storage, access, and archiving of all assets.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to upload and maintain imagery within the CMS.
- Act as the primary point of contact for third-party post-production vendors, coordinating deliverables and timelines.
- Oversee the timely delivery of assets, ensuring the pack-to-live process is as efficient and accurate as possible.
- Manage and resolve any reshoot requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support larger scale image requests and audit projects as needed.
- Act as a front-line contributor to tool and process development. Explore and implement new tools and technologies to improve the team\βs workflow and performance, ensuring we remain ahead of industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and platform providers to optimise tool usage, feeding directly into roadmap development and challenging vendors to evolve solutions that better meet our needs.
Qualifications
- Understanding of the studio process and storage of imagery.
- High technical proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, and networked computers.
- Deep understanding of digital asset management systems, file structures, and CMS platforms.
- Proven experience in supervising, mentoring and developing a team.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and motivate others to achieve within the required timeframe.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Passionate about operational efficiency and innovation β always looking to improve systems and outcomes.
- Demonstrable previous experience in a senior photographic or postproduction role.
- Experience in asset management and libraries with strong organisational and tagging skills.
- Knowledge of photography and retouch techniques.
- Confident in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Capture One and file handling in RAW and TIFF formats.
