Harvey Nichols is seeking a Store Detective to join the team in Knightsbridge, a destination for modern luxury and cutting-edge design.

About the role

As a Store Detective you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a fair and consistent level of enforcement of all Company policies and procedures and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Identifying and advising store management and staff of any possible stock loss risks and best practice in loss prevention.
  • Detecting, apprehending and detaining persons guilty of stealing Company property, cash or merchandise.
  • Conducting regular and random searches of employee and contractors’ possessions in line with the Company policy.

The ideal candidate for the Store Detective position will hold a SIA Licence and have previous experience of security and loss prevention particularly in a luxury retail environment. Good knowledge of Criminal Law, court procedures and security equipment. Strong communication, organisational and planning skills, along with self‑motivation and the ability to quickly adapt to challenging situations.

Working hours: 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, inclusive of weekends.
